The United Nations General Assembly designated January 27—the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau—as International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
On this annual day of commemoration, we will honor the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and millions of other victims of Nazism and to host a roundtable discussion to prevent future genocides.
The horrors of Auschwitz and other Nazi death camps will soon be lost to living memory. But the recent rise in antisemitism underlines the need never to forget.
On January 18, 2024, the Commission organized a the roundtable discussion and luncheon featuring Members of the U.S. House of Representatives and Members of the Diplomatic Corps.
The roundtable discussion took place in HC-5 in the US Capitol, chaired and moderated by Harley Lippman.
